Ghost

Something believed to be unique to humans and which separates them from machines. In the world of “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex,” the boundary between humans and machines becomes extremely ambiguous due to cyberization, an alteration in which all brain activities are replaced by electrical signals. This gives rise to the question of whether a machine, which uses those same electrical signals to think, could potentially house a “ghost.”
