He radiates a timeless and universal brilliance that has earned him a huge following not only among techno fans, but also among all dance music fans.

In 2010, he released his first mix CD in 13 years. The CD, titled “MIXED BY DERRICK MAY X AIR,” was a huge sensation both in Japan and abroad. The mix, which was recorded live in the studio, is a condensed version of his entire DJ career. The “hot and simmering soul,” the “fascinating story with various developments,” the “brilliant mixing technique” etc., are the unique world that only a genius DJ can create. There is a unique world out there that only a genius DJ can create. There is an overwhelming power that seems to pour all of his passion for music and his fans into his music, and it is so strong that it takes the listener to another dimension. Derrick May has traveled all over the world, but he loves playing in Japan the most, and he truly cares about his Japanese fans.

In 2013, he released a compilation CD “TRANSMAT 4-BEYOND THE DANCE” on his own label TRANSMAT.
