The event “DEEP DIVE: echo -GHOST IN THE SHELL-,” an immersive experience synchronizing music with the world of the “Ghost in the Shell” series, will be held on Saturday, June 21, at PBOX on the 10th floor of Shibuya PARCO to celebrate the opening of “The World of Masamune Shirow Exhibition.”
The “Ghost in the Shell” series remains a towering masterpiece of science fiction, continuously inspiring passionate fans worldwide. Celebrating this influential series, the innovative event “DEEP DIVE: echo -GHOST IN THE SHELL-” will reinterpret its unique universe through live performances, DJ sets, and VR content. Scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2025, at PBOX on the 10th floor of Shibuya PARCO, the event coincides with the ongoing original art exhibition, “The World of Masamune Shirow: ‘Ghost in the Shell’ and the Path of Creation,” currently being held at the Setagaya Literary Museum.
Featured artists include rapper and beatmaker JUBEE, renowned for crafting fresh mixture sounds that blend diverse musical genres such as hip-hop, dance music, and rock. Joining JUBEE is Pasocom Music Club, a music production duo specializing in electronic music created with analog synthesizers and sound modules. Other performers include Skaai, an artist who transcends traditional hip-hop by exploring diverse musical styles with his unique vision, and Mari Sakurai, a DJ known for her thrilling, techno-driven performances infused with experimental elements. The artists’ performances will merge seamlessly with VJ visuals inspired by the “Ghost in the Shell” universe, creating an immersive audiovisual experience.
Exclusive event apparel will also be available in strictly limited quantities, featuring two unique T-shirt designs showcasing Masamune Shirow’s exquisite illustrations, crafted especially for this event with no additional production planned. Attendees purchasing both shirts will receive a special sticker created by Kosuke Kawamura.

JUBEE
JUBEE is a rapper and beatmaker known for continuously creating cutting-edge mixture sounds that blend diverse genres such as hip-hop, dance music, and rock, absorbing various cultural influences. Driven by an attitude of “providing a ‘Playground’—a space where people can liberate their true selves through music and live events,” he actively hosts solo live shows and the cross-genre event series “CROSSOVER,” earning attention across multiple music scenes for his unique approach.
JUBEE’s activities span a wide range, including his role as an MC in the creative team “CreativeDrugStore,” where he performs as part of a hip-hop group. He also leads the dance music project “Rave Racers,” expressing rave music alongside fresh takes on fashion and art.
Additionally, since 2022, he has served as the frontman for the mixed-genre rock band “AFJB,” formed with rock band Age Factory. Their energetic performances at festivals and collaborative live events have generated significant buzz within the rock music scene.
PASOCOM MUSIC CLUB
Formed in 2015, Pasocom Music Club is an electronic music production duo consisting of Osaka-born members Midori Shibata and Masato Nishiyama. They create electronic music primarily using analog synthesizers and sound modules. The duo has actively collaborated with other artists and produced remixes, contributing to various notable projects such as TV commercials for Laforet Harajuku Grand Bazaar, soundtrack production for the TV drama “Video Girl AI 2018,” and the ending theme for the anime “Pokémon.” Their vibrant live performances include a notable appearance at FUJI ROCK 2022. They released their debut album “DREAM WALK” in 2018, followed by their second album “Night Flow” in 2019, which gained recognition by being selected for the 12th CD Shop Awards 2020. Continuing their productive output, the duo released their fifth album “Love Flutter” in 2024.
Skaai
Born in Virginia, USA, and raised in Oita, Japan, Skaai is an artist who has experienced living in countries such as South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, and the United States since childhood. He began his career as a rapper during the COVID-19 lockdown in spring 2020, releasing tracks on SoundCloud. He gained recognition on AbemaTV’s “Rap Star Birth 2021,” earning high praise from judges. His debut single “Period.” released in November 2021, showcased his fresh rap style and soulful vocals by integrating jazz and hip-hop elements alongside beatmaker uin.
In February 2022, he released his second single “Nectar.” and participated in Red Bull’s mic relay project “RASEN,” collaborating with artists like Bose (Scha Dara Parr), Dengaryu, and BIM. In May 2022, he performed at Japan’s largest hip-hop festival, “POP YOURS,” held at Makuhari Messe. Skaai’s first EP “BEANIE,” featuring collaborations with BIM and Daichi Yamamoto, was released in September 2022, followed by his “BEANIE TOUR 2022” in Fukuoka, Osaka, and Tokyo. He concluded the year with the reflective single “Mermaid” in collaboration with uin.
In 2023, Skaai continued his musical evolution, releasing the socially expressive track “SCENE! (feat. Bonbero)” and the introspective single “WE’LL DIE THIS WAY.” He also held the “DEAD TOUR 2023” visiting Sendai, Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka. In 2024, Skaai collaborated with artist Soshiit for the single “Hen na Kuuki,” followed by the release of “MILLION” in February 2025, showcasing his passion through a band-driven sound. His May 2025 single “Runaway” further explores a blend of hip-hop and soul, marking a fresh musical endeavor.
Mari Sakurai
Mari Sakurai is a Tokyo-based DJ known for her dynamic performances centered around techno, infused with experimental elements that create powerful and thrilling experiences. She excels in reflecting inspirations drawn from frontline dance floors around the world, skillfully controlling the energy of any space. Her performances span a wide spectrum, from underground events to large outdoor festivals. Mari has provided mixes for renowned podcasts such as Rinse FM, NTS Radio, Refuge Worldwide, and Reclaim Your City, and since 2024, she regularly performs at Berlin’s prestigious club Berghain.
Mari also contributes significantly to the scene as an organizer, actively involved with the queer rave SLICK, and the regular KILLIAN events at venues like WOMB and VENT. Additionally, she serves as a resident DJ at AFTER LIFE, the only regular techno party hosted at Suigetsu.

◾️About DEEP DIVE -GHOST IN THE SHELL
“DEEP DIVE -GHOST IN THE SHELL-” is an event series launched to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the original manga “GHOST IN THE SHELL” by Masamune Shirow, synchronizing music with the series’ iconic universe.
On May 25, 2024, the event “DEEP DIVE online in sync with GHOST IN THE SHELL” took place at Zepp Shinjuku (TOKYO), featuring artists inspired by the series such as Derrick May, Takkyu Ishino, yahyel, Maika Loubté, 4s4ki, and Dongurizu. The event also featured a special talk session with director Mamoru Oshii and composer Kenji Kawai, hosted by Naohiro Ukawa. The advance tickets sold out immediately after announcement, and the VR content offered on the day was extremely popular, resulting in a four-hour waiting time.
Furthermore, on April 19, 2025, the online event “DEEP DIVE: online – GHOST IN THE SHELL -” began streaming a live performance by the experimental soul band WONK on the official “Ghost in the Shell” YouTube channel. This online event aims to share the immersive experiences of physical events with a wider audience, creatively exploring the diverse universe of Masamune Shirow’s original manga and anime through innovative collaborations with artists.
