The Exhibition of The World of Shirow Masamune -“The Ghost in the Shell” and The Path of Creation-, Key Visual Released

An exhibition featuring analog and digital works of manga artist Shirow Masamune, whose work continues to have a profound impact on the world, will be held for the first time, showcasing original pieces from The Ghost in the Shell, Appleseed, Dominion, and more, including debut works. The key visual for the exhibition has also been revealed.

 

During the 1980s and 1990s, Shirow Masamune captured emerging technologies, which were not yet widely understood, through his unique perspective and expressed them in the medium of manga. His foresight and creativity influenced subsequent generations of creators in manga, literature, film, and beyond. Even today, the world he built remains relevant and impactful. This exhibition offers a comprehensive look at Shirow’s path of creation, focusing on his iconic work The Ghost in the Shell, and tracing his early creations like Black Magic, Appleseed, Dominion, and Orion, among others.

 

The newly unveiled key visual showcases Shirow’s signature works, including The Ghost in the Shell, brought together in a cohesive design. The exhibition will also feature a wide array of original merchandise, brand collaborations, and artist collaborations.
