“Ghost in the Shell Exhibition: Ghost and the Shell” — To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the theatrical anime release, special “1995” tickets and more will go on sale starting Tuesday, October 28, 2025!

The Ghost in the Shell Exhibition: Ghost and the Shell Production Committee (Kodansha Ltd., Mori Building Co., Ltd., KDDI Corporation, Production I.G, Inc., PARCO Co., Ltd., and Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc.) announced that admission tickets for the exhibition, to be held at TOKYO NODE—the information hub within Toranomon Hills—from January 30 (Fri) to April 5 (Sun), 2026, will go on sale starting 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

In addition to standard admission tickets, three types of special benefit tickets will be available, along with limited advance tickets (with benefits) offered exclusively during the first three days of the exhibition (January 30, 31, and February 1, 2026).

The highlight among them is the “30th Anniversary ‘1995’ Ticket,” created in a limited edition of 1,995 pieces to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the theatrical release of GHOST IN THE SHELL (1995), the landmark sci-fi anime film directed by Mamoru Oshii. Each ticket includes an originally designed T-shirt featuring a special visual of Motoko Kusanagi and the official exhibition logo.

Other ticket options include a replica film strip, featuring carefully selected memorable scenes cut directly from the original 35mm film used in the theatrical screening of GHOST IN THE SHELL (1995), as well as a special tote bag ticket featuring the exhibition’s key visual — a collage of Motoko Kusanagi from across all Ghost in the Shell anime series.

In addition, a special “Cyberbrain VISION Experience Ticket” will be available, offering visitors a chance to enjoy an expanded art experience through AR glasses debuting at the venue. Inspired by the glasses worn by Motoko Kusanagi, these AR devices allow fans to experience the long-awaited sensation of “cyberization” firsthand.

Rather than simply viewing the exhibition, visitors can dive directly into the world of Ghost in the Shell—the cybernetic network itself—for a completely new kind of immersive experience. Guiding them through the journey is none other than Tachikoma, the beloved AI companion from the S.A.C. series, who helps bring the story’s unique atmosphere to life.
