New “Ghost in the Shell” TV animation series will start! Animation Production: Science SARU Broadcasting in 2026｜Special Reoport & Teaser Visual

Since the original comic by Masamune Shirow was published in “Young Magazine Kaizokuban” (Kodansha) in 1989, “Ghost in the Shell” (1995) directed by Mamoru Oshii and various other works including animation and Hollywood live-action films have been developed, surprising and exciting the world. Ghost in the Shell” series has continued to surprise and inspire the world.

 

A new “Ghost in the Shell” TV animation series has just been announced. The animation production will be based on the Golden Globe Award-nominated animated film “The Dog King” and the TV animation “Don’t Mess with the Video Lab!” and “The Color of My Heart,” which will be entered into the Annecy International Animated Film Festival 2024 Feature Length Competition. Broadcast is scheduled for 2026. A special trailer and teaser visual were also released with the announcement.
