‘The Exhibition of The World of Shirow Masamune -“The Ghost in the Shell” and The Path of Creation-’ to Travel to Shinsaibashi PARCO, Osaka Starting September 5, 2025! Currently Showing at Setagaya Literary Museum in Tokyo – Over 20,000 Visitors and Counting! New Behind-the-Scenes Video Now Released!
Parco Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the Setagaya Literary Museum (Setagaya Culture Foundation) and Kodansha Ltd., is currently presenting the special exhibition ‘The Exhibition of The World of Shirow Masamune -“The Ghost in the Shell” and The Path of Creation-’ at the Setagaya Literary Museum (1-10-10 Minami-Karasuyama, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo) from Saturday, April 12 to Sunday, August 17, 2025, in celebration of the museum’s 30th anniversary.
We are pleased to announce that following the Tokyo venue, the exhibition will travel to Shinsaibashi PARCO in Osaka from Friday, September 5 to Sunday, October 5, 2025.
The Osaka edition will feature a restructured layout tailored to the space, along with new, venue-exclusive merchandise available for purchase. Please note that while original artwork by Shirow Masamune is on display at the Tokyo venue, the Osaka exhibition will primarily showcase high-resolution reproductions due to preservation concerns.
Further details on ticket sales for the Osaka venue will be shared on the official exhibition website and social media accounts.

Additionally, a behind-the-scenes making-of video has just been released, offering a rare look into the creative process behind the exhibition. Through interviews with the curators, graphic designers, and Shirow’s longtime editors, the video explores the concepts and artistic direction that shaped the event.
