I belong to the generation that views Ghost in the Shell as that iconic masterpiece. I cannot—and would not want to—ignore the awe, fear, and reverence I held for it.

In my younger days, I might have thought, “I’m going to create a brand-new Ghost in the Shell!” But being able to recognize that drive as mere pressure is perhaps why I am entrusted with playing Paz today. Paz brings a grounded, seasoned presence and a broad perspective to the team, which is what makes him so compelling.

“Simply stay in the moment through my performance.” As long as I can do that alongside this cast, something new will take shape naturally without having to force it. That is my belief. And in a cyber-world that has grown so much larger and closer to our daily lives than back then, I trust that all of you living in the present will refine and embrace what is born here, creating this era’s Ghost in the Shell.

I had the privilege of voicing Kusanagi’s boyfriend. Though my appearance is limited to a single episode, I hope I was able to leave a memorable impression.

Ghost in the Shell is a story centered on themes of AI, humanity, and our integration with the net—ideas that prompt deep reflection, especially in today’s world. Reimagining this iconic classic now carries immense significance.

I am truly excited to see what new charms this long-beloved work will reveal through fresh music and Science SARU’s signature visual artistry, and how it will resonate with audiences today. As a fan myself, I hold high expectations for what is to come.
