Recognized as a Traditional Craft designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry—an honor granted to only 244 items nationwide—it is a pinnacle of Japanese craftsmanship, long cherished as a textile with ties to the Imperial Household.

Across 780 years of history, the silk threads of Hakata-ori now intertwine with the cybernetic world envisioned in Ghost in the Shell.
