- The silk-screen printing techniques that were mainstream in 1990s America have been newly reinterpreted and reconstructed.
Using 15 individually separated screens based on proprietary theory and know-how, this piece is printed with a highly intricate silk-screen process. Dithered color separation, “black magic” techniques that make full use of the black fabric, and advanced control of transparency and noise effects come together to achieve neon-like vibrancy—traditionally considered difficult to reproduce—resulting in a distinctly new visual atmosphere.
To faithfully evoke the feel of 1990s deadstock items, intentional characteristics such as slight print misalignment, distortion, pattern shifts, traces of adhesive, and the rough texture of ink have been reproduced. These elements are not flaws, but rather part of the product’s unique character and charm.
The body is made from American cotton, using atmos’ original 8oz fabric knitted with custom 32/2 open-end yarn. The result is a tough, heavyweight T-shirt with a substantial, durable feel.
This item meticulously recreates authentic 1990s printing methods. In order to achieve a true deadstock aesthetic, variations such as adhesive marks, ink roughness, and slight print misalignment or distortion may occur, all of which are intentionally incorporated as part of the product’s design and identity.
