- The Laughing Man, who appears in the play “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex,” and “ANGEL CHAMPAGNE” have decided to release a collaborative product.
The collaboration champagne between “ANGEL CHAMPAGNE” and “Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045” released on May 25, 2021, sold out immediately after its release and attracted much attention. This is the second long-awaited collaboration.
The “ANGEL CHAMPAGNE Vintage2008 GHOST IN THE SHELL S.A.C.” will be released on February 1, 2024, the day of the cyber-terrorism “Wide-Area Important 081 Incident,” aka "“he Laughing Man Incident,” which is the axis of the entire “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex” story.
“ANGEL CHAMPAGNE Vintage2008 GHOST IN THE SHELL S.A.C. -The Laughing Man- EDITION” will be available in limited quantities.
The bottle and champagne case shimmer in purple and silver, inspired by the main character Motoko Kusanagi, and engraved with the symbolic mark of the Laughing Man. It comes with an original box and store bag with a design reminiscent of an episode of the film.

After a rainy and stormy spring, the Champagne region experienced alternating hot and cool weather in 2008. The summer was cool and the air was dry with little sunshine, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and surely. The difference in temperatures gave the fruit concentration and intensity of the vintage, resulting in a Champagne with concentrated flavor and depth.
The Vintage 2008 has a buttery nose with beautiful hints of fresh honey and savory spices.
The palate is full of savory flavors of honey and rich hazelnuts, with a long, exquisite finish of lemony citrus flavors.
