Whiskey with the label of the animated film “GHOST IN THE SHELL” (1995) is available by lottery!
- Details
- Two illustrations used as key visuals for “Ghost in the Shell” (1995) are featured on two single malt whiskeys selected by whiskey critic Hideo Yamaoka.
One is “Ledaig 1995” distilled in the year of the film's release. The distillery is located on the Isle of Mull, and while "Tobermory" is a non-peated type, “Ledaig” is a heavily peated type. Nowadays, the distillery distinguishes between the two, but around 1995, there was also a non-peated Ledaig in the market. This is a very rare bottle.
The other bottle is “Secret Speyside 1997.” It is a 25 year old refill hogshead distilled at a distillery somewhere in the Speyside region and shrouded in mystery.
Enjoy the individuality and profound worldview of the two whiskeys while remembering the fascinating world view of the near future depicted by the wonderful images and the unique characters. 2029 A.D.---Wouldn't you like to imagine the future that is coming soon?
