Special Session Announced at MUTEK.JP 2025 Edition 10 Ahead of the Ghost in the Shell 30th Anniversary Exhibition

Ghost in the Shell: Exploring How Its “Future” Has Expanded into Our Reality.

In anticipation of the upcoming Ghost in the Shell 30th Anniversary Exhibition, the creative team behind the project will appear at MUTEK.JP 2025 Edition 10, the international festival celebrating electronic music and digital art.

On Thursday, November 20, the team will join a special session to discuss the relationship between technology and ethics, revisiting the philosophical and aesthetic questions that have defined the Ghost in the Shell universe for three decades.

The session will introduce the “Cyberbrain VISION Ticket”, an AR-based interactive experience inspired by the series’ cybernetic world, and examine how its vision of networked society, prosthetic technology, and the boundaries between human and machine resonate with our present reality.

Through discussions that bridge fiction and technology, the creators aim to illuminate how Ghost in the Shell continues to influence modern digital creativity and provoke new ways of thinking about the human condition in an increasingly connected world.
