Breaking News! The largest-ever exhibition of original artwork by “Ghost in the Shell” creator Masamune Shirow will be held in the spring of 2025!

In the spring of 2025, the “The World of Shirow Masamune” exhibition will be held at the Setagaya Literature Museum (1-10-10 Minamikarasuyama, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the museum’s opening.

 

Shirow Masamune’s works have had an immeasurable impact on subsequent creators of manga, science fiction literature, movies, etc. Shirow Masamune was one of the first in the world to create an electronic future with his unique feel for the information of advanced technology, which was a point in time in the 1980’s.

 

This large-scale exhibition will feature original drawings of his works, and will also include an exploration of his worldview, drawing ability, and foresight that have emerged from his work.
